You always do this. We get tipsy, and you take advantage of my love of the scientific method.

It would help at 4 am when forums sometimes rollover with no Stompy around.

It's not as if there aren't other threads available.

A turkey in every toilet -- only in America!

Can we post a link here? That would be the next place I'd check.

To the new thread? That should be posted at the end of the old one. Which I just did.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Too bad we can't automate the rollover at 10,000, provided a name is set up in advance.

A name is never really set up in advance, not for sure. That's the problem with a bullshit consensus -- it can all change at the last minute.

Whoops! I forget the thread closer.

What is even happening?

Couldn't it just role to the number, and then the name can be edited in, later?

Couldn't you just make do until a stompy comes along? What's the longest gap been so far?

What's the longest anyone's ever had to wait for a new thread? An hour or two? Go watch an infomercial or something.

Oh yes (well, I can). I just was trying to think of ways around it. I don't feel any urgent desire to get around it, though. It always works out, and usually happens immediately. It's not like it's an actual problem. Sorry if my post implied otherwise.

Our wings are not tired.

I have seen the Bitches in dire need of a thread as soon as possible. This results in flocking to Natter. If Natter is unavailable there is always the new Natter aka Minearverse.

Is it dire enough to assign it coding time?

No, silly one. It is actually fun to see them descend upon Natter in urgent need of a thread. It has maybe happened twice.
