Lightbulb is for arguing and defending votes, as well as helping to frame the ballot.

Edit: Moved my answer to beathen tto lightbulbs.
Do we have to have light-bulbs open again for X days to discuss before this goes to a vote? That's my recollection, but I don't know if what we've already done counts towards that.
You know, I'm not sure myself. I tabled it last Thursday, and the original proposal would have gone to a vote on Friday by my reckoning. Personally, I would split the difference by keeping Lightbulbs open over the weekend to go to a vote on Monday, but I may be being impatient again.
I would do Lightbulbs again, just because the earlier discussion was broader. I didn't see people specifically talking about why they would or wouldn't support a Lost thread specifically.
Thanks for the explanation. I'm still fairly new to the board and wanted a little clarification.

I agree. This is really a much different proposal than your earlier one. It's more like a "should we open a thread for X" discussion, and should be given the standard number of days for discussion/vote.
ETA: which is moot now since LB was opened while I twittered away composing my opinion.

Okay, that makes sense. So that means we have Lightbulbs open through 9 a.m. board time Tuesday, Oct. 19, and the vote goes to 9 a.m. Friday, Oct. 22? Or am I messing up on the dates? And should we add an extra day for discussion to make up for the fact two of the days are a weekend?

You've got the dates right. And no extra days necessary, the weekends were contemplated when we set up the one week for discussions and voting. I mean, no matter how you slice it, the weekend is going to to be part of that one week.
Moved to Lightbulbs.
(my bad)

Besides, the unique and compelling reasons will probably arise when the in the thread itself when someone tries to quote it--such as an AtS vs. BtVS deathmatch. Hint, hint.
