The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

Definitely not world ending for me either. I was just trying to find out if it was going to be a once a month post, or something more regular.

Nutty answered my second question before I posted, so it is retracted.

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

another thought. Am I right in remembering that they have set a 1 book/month guideline? If so, now that the first book has been selected, the date for the next book selection is pretty much set, yes? Like will book selection discussion always be on the X day of the month?

If so, couldn't that just be added to the header?

I managed to pop in and out of the show threads when all I wanted to read was day of and day after new airing comments. It's easily doable.

A turkey in every toilet -- only in America!

I think a once-a-month post in Press mentioning the new book is a great idea, for the reasons Nutty stated.

If so, couldn't that just be added to the header?

You mean the slug, right? If you're not subbed to the thread, you won't see it in your message center.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Discussion starting on a new book each 15th is not set in stone, as far as I can tell.

Actually I just posted something about that in the book thread. And regardless whether my idea is embraced, rejected, or ignored, I think we need to see how the one month thing works out before we set anything in stone like that.

I'm with Nutty and Jon on liking the post in Press, especially if it includes the date on which the discussion would start.

That man was going to shank me. Over an omelette. Two eggs and a slice of government cheese. Is that what my life is worth?

I love the idea of posting in Press. I can't regularly follow the thread and trying to threadsuck and work my way through to find out the title of the book is not something I relish doing.

Also, what Nutty said.

The next book and date of discussion is going to be edited into the first post of the thread, so it will be easily accessible for people who don't read the thread but may want to jump in. I don't know that people who don't read the thread can be expected to remember that, though.

How are you me? You need to stop that. Only I can be me. ~Kara

I think posting the next book in Press makes it inviting for people who haven't been able to catch up, or feel hesitant about busting in. I was wondering earlier if it would be appropriate to just read and comment on some of the books, as I had time, since I know I won't be able to keep up with all of them. If I see the post in Press, it will tell me the book and remind me that I'm welcome, even if I can't be there all the time, so I like the idea.

What is even happening?

Just to make it clear, absolutely. That's one of the reasons I didn't propose "club" as part of the names, when I was suggesting names. It's a Buffista thread. If we're reading one you're reading, or have read, or want to read too, then come and play.
