You always do this. We get tipsy, and you take advantage of my love of the scientific method.

Cool.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

For some reason, though, Opera seems to have cached the failure. Need to go check settings. Link works in IE just fine.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

Are the announcements about the book club selections (discussions, etc.) always going to be in Press, or is this a one time thing?

Posting them in Press all the time strikes me as somewhat iffy. Shouldn't that just be posted in the thread?

A once a month post is iffy? I think it's important that the thread not become a self-contained unit and that everyone be kept apprised of what's being read and what's being discussed.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

I think the idea is that all Buffistas, whether they follow the thread regularly or not, are welcome to participate if they wish.

I think they can go to the thread to find that out. I'm kinda with Lee, but you know, not a world ending factor either way.

If I only had a brain...

I think it's important that the thread not become a self-contained unit

Huh? Unlike, say, Music? Or Boxed Set? Many of the threads are self-contained units.

I'm with Msbelle; not a world-ending factor either way.

"Mister Spock is on his fanny, sir. Reports heavy damage."

I was kind of whatever either way on it, and then I realized that it would be very easy to not be interested in one book, unsub for a month, and then forget to re-sub. I sort of think that a once-monthly announcement would be helpful, the way that Mejias are helpful when discussing episodes.

Definitely not world ending for me either. I was just trying to find out if it was going to be a once a month post, or something more regular.

Nutty answered my second question before I posted, so it is retracted.

another thought. Am I right in remembering that they have set a 1 book/month guideline? If so, now that the first book has been selected, the date for the next book selection is pretty much set, yes? Like will book selection discussion always be on the X day of the month?

If so, couldn't that just be added to the header?

I managed to pop in and out of the show threads when all I wanted to read was day of and day after new airing comments. It's easily doable.
