What about 'is likely to be deleted'? That way we leave ourselves the room for our discretion so it's clear that the community is deciding what's spam and what's not. It's might be hard to tell for some people, because we do promote (our own) products from time to time.
Bureaucracy 3: Oh, so now you want to be part of the SOLUTION?
A thread to discuss naming threads, board policy, new thread suggestions, and anything else that has to do with board administration and maintenance. Guaranteed to include lively debate and polls. Natter discouraged, but not deleted.
Current Stompy Feet: ita, Jon B, DXMachina, P.M. Marcontell, Liese S., amych
Natter is discouraged in this thread too, but not deleted.
Thanks, Sue. The original bullet did include bureau, and I took it out.
Maybe edit it to:
*We talk a lot. Most of our ramblings are in the Natter threads, but almost any thread is fair game. However, chat is discouraged in all administrative threads, including Bureaucracy, Buffistas Building a Better Board, and Lightbulb. Natter posted in Sunnydale Press, our general announcements thread, and Apocalypse, our personal announcements thread, will be deleted.
I think the joke of the line is its lack of inclusiveness, since many of us are women (but have large penises anyway).
Yep, that was the intended joke. I'm sure breast enlargement spam exists, but it's not nearly as common.
Either version of the spam deletion notice works for me, but I agree that "is likely to be"'s wiggle factor might be a good thing.
"Is likely to" sounds good to me.
Looks like she fixed it.
This is true for all the left-hand threads (except Press and Beep Me, natch), and definitely deserves to be mentioned.
Call me a dummy but -- aren't they right-hand threads? That is where they show up on my screen.
Oh my god, is my screen backwards??
It's their other left hand.
It's the board's left, when it's looking out at you.
Um, yeah. Those threads. On the side. That one.--->
Stage left.
