Wait, weren't there concerns about discouraging natter (since we only do that in the right hand threads, and the FAQ says natter will happen)? Was Hec's suggestion suggested to quell those concerns, or did it raise them? I've lost track.

I must admit a weakness for "I-I must consult my books", but I suppose we'll get around to using all of the big book quotes eventually.

Of course, I'd go with Bob, for that matter. Or almost anything.

The One Book in All the World slug is funny and descriptive. I like it, but I'd leave out "unless/untill we change our minds." If we end up running concurrent books or some such, it can be changed to Two Chosen, or whatever, and still maintain the funny.

So, for slug, I like:

One book in all the world. A Chosen One. Once a month. Come. Read. Discuss.

For description, I think this works and don't feel that we need to talk about not nattering but, whatever:

This thread is a focussed discussion group. Please refer to [link] for the current topic, and upcoming book discussions.
