What is even happening?

Thanks, Jon.

Random thread title suggestion:

Book Babble

Of course, I'd go with Bob, for that matter. Or almost anything.

The One Book in All the World slug is funny and descriptive. I like it, but I'd leave out "unless/untill we change our minds." If we end up running concurrent books or some such, it can be changed to Two Chosen, or whatever, and still maintain the funny.

So, for slug, I like:

One book in all the world. A Chosen One. Once a month. Come. Read. Discuss.

For description, I think this works and don't feel that we need to talk about not nattering but, whatever:

This thread is a focussed discussion group. Please refer to [link] for the current topic, and upcoming book discussions.

Also? Yay.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Buffista Bookclub: Textual Addiction

Okay, that made me laugh out loud.

Because books.

One book in all the world. A Chosen One. Once a month. Come. Read. Discuss.

Chiming in with love for this slug. Not coming up with any brilliant thread titles of my own, though.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Has this:

The subtext is rapidly becoming text

been done?

brillig

Our wings are not tired.

I love all the titles, and hope we use many of them as time goes on. Rather partial to I-I Must Consult My Books though.

Yippee! Another thread to get behind in! Can't wait.

Hey. New board.

With P-C on the "Isn't the point of computers to replace books?" quote as perfection for the opening title of the club. Giles can consult his books later (the next Literary, maybe?)

So, I'm liking "Buffista Biblioscopy: Isn't the point of computers to replace books?"

The "One book in all the world" slug (JenP's version) is great.

I don't really get the Biblioscopy thing. How about something in homage to Giles? Like Ripper's Readers or Ripper's Room.
