juliana - I can hear the line in my head, but I still can't connect it with the movie title.
lexine, the movie title is...
...wait for it...
...WAIT for it...
...here it comes...
...Shane.
Plan what to do, what to wear (you can never go wrong with a corset), and get ready for the next BuffistaCon: New Orleans! May 20-22, 2005!

P-C - ya know, I went to lunch and in the elevator the fog in my head finally cleared and I went DUH - no wonder no one in answering me - that was a blessed STUPID question. Now I think I'm glad I'm not going to Seattle, I'll just go hide my head in shame.
Lee, do you still want me to bring my flip-flops?
If you wouldn't mind and have room. I am going to try to find some tonight or tomorrow, but it would be nice to have backup.
I now have red red lipstick (though I may keep my eye out for something even more red if I come across it), black eye liner, and gum for the plane.
Yay me.

But not in Shane, because that would be gross. Especially since Alan Ladd is dead.
Okay, New Orleans Fine hotels finally responded, they have apparently had e-mail difficulties. Here's the relevant info:
The Cotton Exchange and Holiday Inn Express can both accommodate up to 150 people for a dinner. Le Cirque also has banquet space that can accommodate up to a 140 people for dinner. Meeting space is available at a cost of $500.00 plus a $50.00 set-up fee. However, if at least 20 rooms are reserved it will be provided complimentary. Meeting space would be provided at a cost of $150.00 a day plus the $50.00 set-up fee
I'm still planning to go uncostumed.
Oh, and my church is having a Vespers service Sunday evening at 5:00, in case anyone wants to come hear me sing in the choir. Don't worry--this isn't one of those "alternative to EEEVILLL Halloween" things some churches do. It's more like one of the 3-4 times a year my church stops being casual and gets its liturgy on. And if I do say so myself, we're a pretty good choir, for amateurs. If anyone's interested, there's a couple of places just down the street where we could have dinner afterward.
Do any of the Halloween in Seattle people have (access to) a long hair wig they could lend me? I am dithering over what to wear, since so far I haven't found shoes to go with the geisha outfit. I can borrow another store bought costume, but it needs a long haired wig.
I might. I also have a purple bobbed wig.
I'm going to be pretty uncostumed, FWIW.
Also, about to put a brunch note up in Press.
Susan, wait, that's on Saturday at five? I thought youi were coming to dinner?
I think it's Sunday, Deb.
I'm probably going to be uncostumed, though I kind of like the idea of wearing a wig.
Yep, it's Sunday.
