edit: bugger. bad tag.
For those gathering in Seattle this weekend, does anyone have any interest on going on the Undergound Tour? CP and I want to go, but we can go by ourselves if no one else wants to.
There appears to be a few options in regards to the tour. [link] Does any Seattle-ista have a rec?
"going on the"?
A word's gone walkabout, juliana....
Half my post went walkabout. I choose to blame the cold. I've edited now - it was about the Underground Seattle tour.
The Underground Tour is fun. They aren't kidding about spotty lighting and uneven ground, however. Shoes you can walk in are very, very important.
Oooh, that does sound neat. I'll have to remember to pack at least one pair of sensible shoes.
I might be up for it, but I'd have to know what it will cost and when we could fit it in, since it sounds like Saturday and Sunday are both pretty full.
It's $10 -- the official website is here.
I've done the tour, when I lived there, and it was a lot of fun. I don't think I need to do it again but I can always entertain myself while others do.
I've also done the Underground Tour, both times I've been to Seattle ('92ish and 2001), and would recommend it highly.
There appears to be a few options in regards to the tour.
I don't see any options...
I'm going to be staying at the St Louis over MLK Day weekend (Jan 15-17), so if we end up picking that one, I can check anything out that needs to be checked out.
Cool. I'm trying to get to the places we're considering to see them in person, but it looks like it won't happen by the end of October. In any case, actual staying-there experience will certainly be helpful for us if we choose the St. Louis.
I can't even get through a paragraph without getting distracted.
I have e-mailed the New Orleans Fine Hotels people twice and they have not gotten back to me at all. If someone wants to call and pester them for info, the numbers I have are 504-962-5524 and 1-800-510-3450 (phones are not my friends). I did try putting our dates in their web site to check for availability, and was only able to find 5 rooms at the French Market Inn, so I am beginning to doubt how well they can accommodate us.
