Jilli, is your birthday coming up soon?
Mid-November, so soon-ish.
What's on your birthday list?
Oh, lotsa stuff. Velvet dresses and dvds and perfume oils. You know, the usual.
Plan what to do, what to wear (you can never go wrong with a corset), and get ready for the next BuffistaCon: New Orleans! May 20-22, 2005!

I'm bringing a couple of prezzies to Seattle with me, but nothing too startling. And both Plei and Susan will get nice munchies down the road a bit, when I'm not trying to deal with the universe before a trip and book tour kickoff.
New Orleans update
I just heard from the Sleep Inn and Suites in Metairie. They could provide us with a "Board Room" for a hospitality suite with limited hours of accessibility that would probably be complimentary, or we could rent a suite for the same rate as the one's we'd be staying in ($69.99) and turn that into hospitality suite. For the Prom, we'd have to go off site, they recommend the Balcony a block away. No transportation is provided by the hotel.
I think we can probably drop this one from consideration, despite the cheap rates. They are far from the extracurricular fun stuff and would inconvenience us even in holding the Prom. And I think they would provide us with a lovely view of the interstate.
Billytea and Deb, insent.
I think you're right -t. I'd hate for people to go all the way down there just to hang out in Metarie.
I think St. Louis and Raddison are going to be the two to choose between. (Though if I knew we all could afford it, The W would've been awesome).
I'm going to be staying at the St Louis over MLK Day weekend (Jan 15-17), so if we end up picking that one, I can check anything out that needs to be checked out.
Lee, got it. And may I say, WOOT!
Oh, and the Saturday event is officially official!
Jessica, I think ND was saying we wanted the hotel picked by the end of this month. I do think, however, that if we don't have it nailed, or if we choose St. Louis it'd be very helpful to have someone who's staying there let us know what it's like.

I was gonna say. There's no point in going to New Orleans and being so far from the interesting stuff.
