Zoe: What's that, sir? Mal: Freedom, is what. Zoe: No, I meant what's that? Mal: Oh. Yeah. Just step around it. I think something must've been living in here.

If I want to become a cloud of bats, does each bat need a separate vaccination?

There don't seem to be any redeye flights back Sunday night, so it looks like my options are either leaving mid-afternoon (which kind of defeats the purpose of coming for Halloween), or leaving Monday morning, which is what I think I'll probably do.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

Jessica, do you have a preference as to the hotels?

I am slacking by looking at hotel rooms. I vote for either the Days inn or the Executive Pacific Plaza.

I have an AAA card, so I might be able to get us a discount that way as well.

Damn. I would so love to meet you all in Seattle for Halloween...

Silly friend getting married when I want to visit with Buffistas.

Up with the sun

Flights from D.C. start at $211, so I think I'm in. I'll probably fly in Saturday morning and leave Monday so as to maximize Halloween fun. It looks like there's a flight that lands at 11:44 a.m. -- would that work with Deb's signing?

I know nothing about Seattle, so I'll go with whatever hotel we agree on.

Yay! That's a great fare too, it's $6 less than the cheapest flight I could get. I am pretty sure Deb's signing is in the early evening, Lyra Jane, so it should be good.

Not really -- I've never been to Seattle, so I have no idea what's near what.

Lyra, I think my flight times are going to be very similar to yours -- getting in around 10:30 Saturday morning, leaving around noon on Monday.

It really doesn't matter. It's just an opinion. Don't worry about it. Not worth the hassle.

Signing's at half past seven Saturday night, Lyra, at the humongous Barnes and Noble at University Village.

I am so very much looking forward to this....

I emailed way too many people my flight times, but I get in Friday night a little before 9:00, and I leave about 6:00 on Sunday night.

How about I make reservations at the Day's inn tomorrow, just to pull a name out of a hat, unless I hear otherwise in the mean time?

We get in early/mid afternoon on the Friday, and leave late Monday morning; it's only a 2-hour flight for us, so Nic can head into work.

Could I get a list of food allergies/preferences/suggestions from anyone thinking of attending Sunday's Halloween Brunch at Casa Marcontell?
