Carolyn and I are booked. We arrive at 10:37 am on October 29, and depart October 31 at 11:41 pm. We may see if we can fast-talk the United people into a slightly earlier flight home, but if not, we'll be cool.
Jess is coming? Yay!
My/our big thing is making it to Seattle Rep sometime Friday afternoon, time TBD. We're very good at public transport.
Plei, what do you know about this hotel? I can get a discount through Alaska air.
Only that it's new and shiny. It's very pretty, and within a hop, skip, and a jump from Uptown Espresso.
Unfortunately, Plei, that hotel doesn't seem to offer rooms with two beds.
I am going to look some more.
Juliana, never mind, brain fart on my part.
(Hee!)
Plei & Lee, three more hotels are coming up on my search as a possibility within budget:
Sixth Avenue Inn
Executive Pacific Plaza
Days Inn
wait... 4 - La Quinta
Opinions?
It looks like there is also a Holiday Inn Express in that area within budget.
Juliana, any of those are fine with me. If you want to talk to me about it tomorrow, I will be home and puttering around for most of the afternoon, or you can call my cell.
There don't seem to be any redeye flights back Sunday night, so it looks like my options are either leaving mid-afternoon (which kind of defeats the purpose of coming for Halloween), or leaving Monday morning, which is what I think I'll probably do.
Jessica, do you have a preference as to the hotels?
I am slacking by looking at hotel rooms. I vote for either the Days inn or the Executive Pacific Plaza.
I have an AAA card, so I might be able to get us a discount that way as well.
Damn. I would so love to meet you all in Seattle for Halloween...
Silly friend getting married when I want to visit with Buffistas.
Flights from D.C. start at $211, so I think I'm in. I'll probably fly in Saturday morning and leave Monday so as to maximize Halloween fun. It looks like there's a flight that lands at 11:44 a.m. -- would that work with Deb's signing?
I know nothing about Seattle, so I'll go with whatever hotel we agree on.
