I think for the hotel choice we can consense. If it looks like that's not happening then we'll move to a vote.
I'm happy to have the F2F anywhere that it ends up. NO wasn't my first choice but I'm really looking forward to spending a week there.

I think those are the big three. As you find stuff or find good possibilities post the results here with thinks like links to websites if possible so that the gathered Buffista masses can look at stuff and do what we do best...talk about them!

Good Trouble and Righteous Fights
Teppy is me WRT how and why I voted. I'm as heat-sensitive as anyone, but if I can afford the trip, I'll be there. I may skip any daytime excursions that involve being outdoors for any length of time, because I really do pretty much wilt if it's 80 or above and humid. But I need some downtime to hide in my hotel room anyway.

It really doesn't matter. It's just an opinion. Don't worry about it. Not worth the hassle.
Matt, David, if I had the remotest interest in getting drunk, the idea of hanging out in a bar to avoid the weather I'd just paid $400 or so to come be in might appeal.
I don't, and it doesn't. No idea whether I'm coming or not, but just saying, booze is not a factor for me.

I was trying to think of a tactful way to say "If all I wanted was to drink myself into (A) unconsciousness and (B) a migraine, I could do it without airfare."
Many Buffistas love hanging out in a bar, but hanging out in a bar is not sufficient entertainment to please all of us.
