F2F 2: Is there anybody here that hasn't slept together?

Plan what to do, what to wear (you can never go wrong with a corset), and get ready for the next BuffistaCon: New Orleans! May 20-22, 2005!

I can't even.

Sorry, folks. I didn't have a chance to check in this afternoon. I have bids from 2 downtown hotels.

The better of the two is the Novotel at a rate of 115 USD per night and 600 USD for the prom, negotiations still to come. Parking is 12USD per day. This place is right downtown, walking distance from Union station, subway and major attractions.

Novotel Toronto Centre

Edited for better hotel link.

Yeah, I like Jon's voting choices, too. Because it matters to me whether or not other people can make it.

And someone should make us a chart. So I can look at the comparisons while being really, really lazy.

Right - so don't have any meetings that weekend this time, missy.

Oh, that's true. I like more info. I guess that I just didn't think about driving info. My bad.

Heather, I'm also among those who'll be driving to f2f if we choose New Orleans (or Kansas City, for that matter).

"This bar smells like kerosene and stripper tears."

KC would be an ok drive for me- not as good as NO (but that has nothing to do with distance or anything, just that I could stop in S'port and I know the way much better. Purely selfish reasons).

I’d be lying if I didn’t say that I miss them all tonight…

KC is a possible drive for me, depending on vehicular situation....

Up with the sun

From D.C., I get the following rates for leaving Friday and coming back Sunday:

NOLA: $195-$240
KCMO: $170-$180
Toronto: $270-$360
MPLS: $215-$400.

The airport I chose to depart from didn't seem to make much difference for anyplace but Minneapolis, which is at least $389 from BWI, much cheaper from either Dulles or National.

Plane fares are pretty much the make-or-break factor for me this year, as I'm equally interested in three of the locations and none are really drive-friendly.

Also: I like Jon's a-b-c-d suggestion.

Toronto: $270-$360

My flight from Halifax to DC (which was via Toronto on the way back) was $360 CDN. But I think that was a seat sale...

$360 Canadian is ... how much in real money :-)? $240 or so, right?

Which airport did you fly into in D.C.?
