(Hi Nora!)

The FAQ Girl discussion brings up a question I've vaguely wondered about. What sort of impression do our gatherings generally make on the non-Buffista significant others who attend?

I’m responsible for my own happiness? I can’t even be responsible for my own breakfast! (Bojack Horseman)

Well, OK, I *knew* about "fack" but my silly brain wants to spell it out.

I mostly want to be cool like Matt so I exaggerated.

There, are you happy now???

runs away dramatically sobbing

See? I gave everybody here an opportunity to tell me what a bad person I am and nobody did, because I fuckin' rule.

absents self from conversation, as last non-Buffista SO steadfastly refused to attend any Buffista gatherings, one of several factors in his becoming an ex-SO.

realizes Nora is gone

And P-C -- I'm sorry we didn't stay in NYC long enough to meet you. I was so looking forward to mocking your musical tastes in person.

You always do this. We get tipsy, and you take advantage of my love of the scientific method.

I don't know about SOs, but vw's brother tends to roll his eyes a lot when we get going.

wipes streaming eyes, blows nose with a good hearty honk

Does he just roll them a lot, or FOREVER? Because if the latter, then I think you've got him, whether he wants to admit it or not.

What is even happening?

What sort of impression do our gatherings generally make on the non-Buffista significant others who attend?

Having only been to two gatherings, and without my spouse, I can't answer it Buffista-specifically. I did take Scott to couple of Bronzer shindigs in the Boston area (with Bronzers like Claris, Monique, Little Sister, OzLady, Megdalen, Polgara, Bastion Ridley). He had a good time.

Wanna know a nifty spousal relations thing I learned after last Monday's event, Matt?

The specificness of this just made my blood run cold.

Ah, well.

You were a wrong baby who grew up wrong. The wrong kind of wrong. It's better you hear it from a friend.

Bec seemed pretty happy with her first Buffista encounter Sunday.
