his sounds exactly like what I would expect Dante to add if he were updating the Inferno....
F'real.

Plan what to do, what to wear (you can never go wrong with a corset), and get ready for the next BuffistaCon: New Orleans! May 20-22, 2005!

Sounds like the Expedia commercial where the husband is horrified at the idea of going to a "Magique" show....
Sigh. I may have to give this a miss, then.
Then you'd better come and hang with us in the afternoon.

Or the unholy spawn of Cirque de'Soleil and Blue Man Group, where only the most obnoxious parts have survived the fusion.
Count me in the "I really want to go do De La Guarda" camp. That sounds like an amazing theatrical event, I keep reading about it, and never get my shit together to actually see it.

Great. "First there was Muppets On Ice. Now we are proud to present to you our latest show, Smurfs On Acid."

I'm young and naive, and I haven't seen much unconventional theater, so I don't really have strong opinions on it, and New York is pretty much the only place I'd see something like that, so I figure it's an opportunity I should take, even if I hate it.
I should add that I've been to Blue Man Group and one of the Cirque de Soleil shows, and enjoyed them both. De la Guarda sounds more...invasive.
De la Guarda sounds more...invasive.
Exactly the word. So, basically, if I come up this weekend to see Nilly, I'll get to see her for Sunday brunch?
De la Guarda sounds more...invasive.
There's a reason there's a fourth wall, perform-y people! Stay behind it!
::shudder:: Suffice it to say, if I won't even do the OMWF singalong with people I really like, I'm filled with magnitudes of Ick at the idea of a theatrical event where I'm mauled in public, and expected to pay for it rather than file charges. Ack.
Having said that, knowing that someone will pop up and post that their mother is in De la Guarda -- I don't give a fig if others go see it. Nor do I judge them for wanting to see it. It's just not my cuppa.
