I'm a single undead gal trying to make it in the big city. I have to start somewhere and they're evil here. They don't judge. They've got necro-tempered glass. No burning up. A great medical plan, and who needs dental more than us?

Plan what to do, what to wear (you can never go wrong with a corset), and get ready for the next BuffistaCon: New Orleans! May 20-22, 2005!

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

This DC Map is really, really cool.

I can't even.

That map does totally rock, Tom.

"Cry havoc and let slip the boobs of war!" -- Miracleman

That map does totally rock, Tom.

yes, except for the fact that it ignores the poor part of town :)

Hey, I can see my house!

Ha. No, really, that is a tres cool map. A techno-geek's dream. And very smooth refresh.

Right, and the construction, and the closed roads, and the masses of fences, etc.

It doesn't even go far enough east to see my 'hood, which is so NOT the poor part of town. Which begins not that many blocks farther east.

Is it my imagination, or do most 'poor' parts of the average town rest in the south and east sectors?

Ah. I found the three things I reliably navigated by when in DC in about 10 seconds, which impressed me. Tourist heaven.

I'm guessing...The Washington Monument, the Capital Building and...what's the third?

JohnSweden - Aug 26, 2004 6:39:19 am PDT #8168 of 9999
I can't even.

Capitol, Union Station and our hotel. :) Union Station was kind of the center of the universe for the F2F. We could check out any time we liked, but we could never leave.

"You see? THAT's what they want. Love, and a bit with a dog."

Lilty is funny. Also, muy foamy. And very sweet and animated and cool and fun. Plus, she bummed me a cigarette, and that's really the quickest way for me to become enamored of a person.

Blushes.

Nora, I still regret so much not having the time to loiter and smoke a cig after dinner with you all!

Anyway, I got up far too late for such a nice day off from work. Big coffee is mine, and now I can finish my story.

Hee. It does, sometimes have that feel around here.

I was just chatting with a dog park friend about my maximum lameness when I have a car (Haven't owned one since '95 when I moved to Capital Hill, but I've got generous friends).

I go to the cemetery (dog park) and to the Costco. Other than that? Not much. When you live here, there is little need to be elsewhere.

The 'hood has clearly eaten my brain (or maybe my will). I need a Twilight Zone intervention.
