If the list isn't working for you, you might want to tell the problem to DX.
Plan what to do, what to wear (you can never go wrong with a corset), and get ready for the next BuffistaCon: New Orleans! May 20-22, 2005!

This is not exactly Nilly news, except that Nilly was present for it, and provided much emotional support. One of the neighbor's cats got out, Ginger tried to catch/prevent him, and he wounded her getting away. Deb and Nic went out to herd him back into durance vile, the cat screaming profanity, and imprecations all the while. I applied antibiotics and bandages and made coffee (what do you need when the adrenaline plummets? Caffeine!) for Ginger, and Nilly commiserated. Once things calmed down, Ginger gave her the present she'd brought--a puzzle!--which Nilly loved, and they discussed it. Sail arrived, and a little later, Lee, and there was more coffee, toast, and we sampled Betsy's blood orange marmalade (tres yum!) ND had to leave, but the rest of us, Sail, Ginger and I, hung around and nattered while Lee used Deb's computer to check her email and catch up here, and Deb and Nilly went to pick up Jess and Beth for mani-pedi spa day. JZ will meet them there, and Deb came back for Ginger, Lee and Sail. Since everybody's gone, I'm catching up in email and taking the time to post a little here.
It's a glorious day in SF, blue skies, clear and sunny. We're planning a little walkaround exploring in Union Square and environs later on. I can't wait to hear how Nilly enjoyed her spa day, and I wish all of you could be here.
Last night was so much fun. The group kept breaking and reforming. With all the bodies inside, the talk, the laughter, the wine, the nummy nummy pasta, and the steam and the heat from the stove, it got warm inside, so people would wander out to the terrace where it was cool and damp and breezy and felt wonderful. Until it got too cool for some, when they would wander back inside.
When the plane went for altitude immediately after takeoff yesterday, I wanted to say in Heimlich's voice, "From 'way up here you all look like tiny little ants!" but I knew my seatmate would think me nuts, so I restrained myself. But you know what? No matter who else you find yourself in company with this weekend, there's no need for that sort of self-censoring. There's such a comfort and freedom in knowing that no matter what I say, or what I quote, or whatever comes into my head? I'm going to be understood, because I'm among my tribe.
Will do, Cindy- I double checked the email I was writing from, and it does match what my confirmation email was sent to, so I'm not sure why it was rejected.
Unless it's that I smell. Is that it?
Runs to shower.
Beverly just made me happy.
Me too, Jen.
and afterwards she and Kat and I went back so she could try on a big fancy dress
But were there photos?!
Gives standing ovation to Beverly's Nillyfest post!!!
Gives towel to Lilty.
I tried posting this to the Somervillains list, but it isn't working, so I'll post here.
I've just sent a test message to the Somervillains list. If people don't get it, please let me know at my profile addy.

Pictures are great, but Beverly was even better. She made me feel like I was there in a way that pictures never could. Thank you, Beverly, from the bottom of my heart all the way to the top.
It does make me kind of wish I had put Nillyfest over visiting friends and family at the holidays, but I hope that I can connect with SFistas when I come down, probably in January, and with LAistas at the Big Damn Premiere!
We're having FUN.
mart, you weren't supposed to pick up aynone - what do you mean?
