Hey! What do you two think you're doing? Fightin' at a time like this. You'll use up all the air!

F2F 2: Is there anybody here that hasn't slept together?

Plan what to do, what to wear (you can never go wrong with a corset), and get ready for the next BuffistaCon: New Orleans! May 20-22, 2005!

Our wings are not tired.

Lyra Jane - no doubt there will be plenty of people willing to help you get zipped up.

Only because he speaks of the pompitus of love.

Thank you for the earworm that will last until morning.

Woot! How far is the Tabard Inn from the F2F hotel? Is it easy access via the T, or will those of us staying there need a cab to get back?

For those curious about the answer, I checked. It's off the red line at the Dupont Circle stop, and over a block or two. A bit of a hike, but not too bad. I'll likely take the Metro there, but depending on how things go, I will probably be looking for people to share a cab back to the main hotel afterwards. Just a pre-emptive heads up for those Sunday people who will still be around.

Matt, the place looks fabulous. My god, the dinner menu. ~swoon~

I know! Add that to garden patio dining if it's nice out, or in the restaurant with big windows open if it isn't.

Hey Anne W., if you're around, can you email me at my profile address? I'd like to work out the dates of my stay so I can book my flight, but I don't want to overstay my welcome with you. Thanks!

Yes, yes! The garden patio! I so hope it doesn't rain. Any excuse to eat outdoors (so says the tired New Englander, looking at her thermometer and tapping her foot impatiently, waiting for spring to really arrive).

You were a wrong baby who grew up wrong. The wrong kind of wrong. It's better you hear it from a friend.

Ok, I've booked my accommodation, Friday and Saturday night. It's all good. Last time I was staying in a hotel on my own was (IIRC) when I went to San Diego to present a paper at the Valuation Actuaries Symposium. It was a curious mixture of missing Bec and, in the words of Xander, liking the quiet. (Also when I started watching Adult Swim.)

Amps etc.for the music?

I'll be bringing a laptop with a ton of music but can't help with the gear as it's kinda outta my home base this year.

Ann, that's a ferret.

One for the things-people-might-want-to-do list:

The National Gallery of Art is now showing a special exhibit on Courtly Art of the Maya. The weekend of the F2F, there'll be a number of programs relating to Mexico.

No idea on the details, and no idea why the program isn't closer to Cinco de Mayo.

A turkey in every toilet -- only in America!

I can put out some feelers for a P.A. if no localistas have any connections. I got us a good one in Chicago.
