F2F 2: Is there anybody here that hasn't slept together?

Plan what to do, what to wear (you can never go wrong with a corset), and get ready for the next BuffistaCon: New Orleans! May 20-22, 2005!

Unusually and exceedingly peculiar and altogether quite impossible to describe

Wearing a corset underneath

Don't most people wear them *over*?

Up with the sun

Hmm. I have to get a waist cincher to wear under a bridesmaid's gown anyhow, since the one I have is annoying. Maybe with it, the dress will zip?

I can dream. (And experience all the fun of oxygen deprivation.)

Edit: Steph, yeah, over probably is the true Buffista way. Not sure how that would help me zip, though, unless the idea is to cover the un-fastened part.

Whee! Just finished booking my nights at the Tabard Inn and my return flight. (No, thank you, I won't be needing a hotel for my "stay" in Memphis.) I may have to amend my after dinner cocktails invitation to the hotel's lounge rather than my room, as the overriding priority of getting a claw-foot tub seems to have put us in a smaller room with an extra bed rather than couch, chairs, and coffee table (they put down that a larger room with one larger bed is preferred, but that may not be available). But hey, that way we have live jazz music in the background.

Woot! How far is the Tabard Inn from the F2F hotel? Is it easy access via the T, or will those of us staying there need a cab to get back?

I so should go look this up myself. Okay, off to do that.

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

I'm not sure what I'm wearing to the Prom. I'd like to get a new outfit, but I have no idea where to look for something appropriate. There were a couple of dresses that might work at Hot Topic, but the sizing often doesn't work for me.(They expect that someone with my chest size would be a lot bigger in the waist and hips. Also, most of my chest is rib cage. feh)

I have no clue where to look for funky, yet reasonably priced clothes that are made for non-toothpick women in the suburban MD area.

I may have to seize the cat.

Kiba needs to teach me how to go shopping.
Decide "I think I'll go to 'Store X' now, even though I oughtn't." I've found several bargains that way in just the past week.

Not to mention, where, as she is right up the street from me, and yet I never find fab dresses for a buck ninety-nine.
Ross Dress for Less, Northpoint Shopping Center.

For the record, my dress is rather plain. I need fabulous accessories now. A trip to Hot Topic may be in order - I always wanted skull & crossbones hairclips.

Our wings are not tired.

Lyra Jane - no doubt there will be plenty of people willing to help you get zipped up.

Only because he speaks of the pompitus of love.

Thank you for the earworm that will last until morning.

For those curious about the answer, I checked. It's off the red line at the Dupont Circle stop, and over a block or two. A bit of a hike, but not too bad. I'll likely take the Metro there, but depending on how things go, I will probably be looking for people to share a cab back to the main hotel afterwards. Just a pre-emptive heads up for those Sunday people who will still be around.

Matt, the place looks fabulous. My god, the dinner menu. ~swoon~

I know! Add that to garden patio dining if it's nice out, or in the restaurant with big windows open if it isn't.

Hey Anne W., if you're around, can you email me at my profile address? I'd like to work out the dates of my stay so I can book my flight, but I don't want to overstay my welcome with you. Thanks!
