I'm getting the pig!

I know I'm an odd sort of person, but along with meeting people and seeing people again I've already met? Feeding cats is right up there with all the squee-worthy activities that have me bouncing at the thought.

Is that odd? If so, I'm also odd.

Some of you already knew that.

having dinner out and feeding cats.

DEB - What time do we need to leave by?

It really doesn't matter. It's just an opinion. Don't worry about it. Not worth the hassle.

sumi, wasn't she? And whereas I think that soup might be a bit weird to truck down, citrus cookies and lemon bread aren't.

Trying to decide on BBQ desserts. I think, personally, that I may jettison the chapeau noir in favour of lemon bread or citrus cookies. My original list is really choc-heavy.

So, Deb what's the schedule on Thursday night when Nilly gets in, and on Friday night?

Hanging out, for as long as people like, providing that the Thursday night doesn't go too late (Nic to work in morning). I'm tossing angel hair with grated cheese, toasted pine nuts, olive oil and frsh basil leaves, and maybe a bit of garlic, Thursday night; all are welcome. Only difference between Nilly's and everyone else's is that she gets the kosher parmesan tossed into hers, while we have reggiano. I'll also get some nice simple bread, and make up some olive oil with herbs, for dipping.

Friday, I'll put a pot of home-made kosher bean soup on the simmer burner (I love having a profesasional quality stove, damn it!), settle everyone in who wants to wander in down for conversation - I gather Nilly can't watch TV on Friday night, which is a pity, because I was going to suggest (in lieu of live rock and roll, something like the DVD of Peter Gabriel's "Up" or "Secret World" tour, or the more vintage "Rock and Roll Circus". I will be catching the 7:07 train to Redwood City with Nicole and Bev, to meet up with Nic after work, for dinner (prolly Mex food at Celia's in Atherton) and catfeeding.

Nilly and Bev will both have front door keys, of course. And Jeannie will likely be home downstairs, and has a back door key.

Nicole - see above. The train is at 4th and King, a block from pacific Bell Park, at 7:07. If we're talking about leaving from my house (recommended, since we're picking up Deena and Laura and bringing them to respective abodes and also back here, if Deena feels likes relaxing on my sofa and both of you getting a ride back to the hotel after we're back), we should plan on grabbing the bus downtown at about 5:40.

Gives us plenty of time to get to the station, even on a Friday rush hour.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

Also semi-planned for Friday night, I think, is me having dinner with Sparky and Sean in Oakland, before I head over to SF, either to Deb's or the hotel.

Anyone is of course welcome to join us, or suggest an alternative.

Oh, and I'll need to get Jess directions to the City Friday, so that I can pick her up at BART.

No complaints here!

Thanks, Deb. I'm not sure if Deena is staying at the hotel on Friday or not since so many people are trying to steal her away from me requesting her company. If that's the case and people are still up when we get back, I may just hang out for a bit and then enjoy a nice evening walk to the hotel.

I'm tossing angel hair with grated cheese, toasted pine nuts, olive oil and fresh basil leaves, and maybe a bit of garlic, Thursday night;

Mmmm!!

all are welcome.

This remind anyone else of Poltergiest?

(blink)

That's going to be one hell of a walk, love - the Ramada is on, what 9th and Market? Also, be prepared for a few honkin' big hills.

Our wings are not tired

I'm guessing the Nilly and I will leave LA around 10 AM on Thursday and I'm planning to come up the 101 to SF. If memory serves I should be planning on around 8 to 10 hours going that route. I'm also allowing for some stops at nice viewpoints and such. If that is correct then we should be rolling to the Deb's around 8 PM. Does this jive with plans people are making?

Also, Deb, can you give me directions to your place given that I'm coming up the 101?

ND, you bet, but where do you need them from? Hitting the City proper, or what?

Our wings are not tired

Basically I need them from whenever it is that I have to leave the 101 Northbound. SF has the dubious honor of being one of the very few cities in the country where I can get totally turned around direction wise.
