What is even happening?

(I don't know if they're all going out of business, or if just the Stoneham one is.)

That's the pain / That cuts a straight line down through the heart / We call it love

Kate, I have a sofa bed you're welcome to, if you don't mind my cat.

Woohoo! The cat is no problem; if anything, it'll be a relief to downsize to just one (from four) for the weekend. Thank you!

How are you me? You need to stop that. Only I can be me. ~Kara

I have no clue how that happened. This is not where I was when I started. Nothing to see. Please drive through.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

Allyson, no need to send along the pot. I needed some new pots and pans anyway, so I bought some at Ikea, and left them wrapped.

It really doesn't matter. It's just an opinion. Don't worry about it. Not worth the hassle.

Memo to self: go to Clement Street today and buy a pot. I think I've got everything else, because I have a lot of catering stuff that's glass, and Nilly says glass is basically utile for all kosher stuff.

Now kicking myself that I didn't buy one of the spiffy blue Corning see-through tempered saucepans when they were on sale at the outlet, but who knew? It was two yhears ago and I haven't seen them anywhere since, damn it.

Ooooh! Occurs to me, I think I'll make a completely vegetarian pot of bean and lentil soup and everyone can eat from it all weekend.

after being treated somehow?

And I am sorry for asking, but I was only half paying attention to all the kosher do's and don't's because I didn't get confirmation for hosting The Nilly till last week... and... could someone let me know the general guidelines about keeping kosher?

Nora, I think it's because it's non-porous? I do know that in email, she said no special glass was needed, because glass was fine.

I'm glad, for once, that I have "purpose" pots (usually, it strikes even me as fussy). That is, I can use my multi-cooker to make Nilly's pasta, because nothing is or has ever been cooked in that other than pasta or steamed veggies. I bought it specifically for that purpose, and have never used it for anything else.

My sauciers, on the other hand? No. Really, really no. Not kosher at all.

Sweet! Does this apply to Pyrex?

ETA: Heh- our cast iron and Le Creuset is just as dubious.
