I'm going to see to Wesley, see if he's still whimpering.

Nora, I think it's because it's non-porous? I do know that in email, she said no special glass was needed, because glass was fine.

Sweet! Does this apply to Pyrex?

ETA: Heh- our cast iron and Le Creuset is just as dubious.

It really doesn't matter. It's just an opinion. Don't worry about it. Not worth the hassle.

Yep, I think Pyrex is included in that - it's glass, and completely non-porous and non-absorbent. I bought a really nice baking dish at the Corning Revere outlet for four bucks, in Pyrex; I'm going to roast a nice mixture of 'shrooms and asparagus in kosher salt and olive oil for Nilly. And also for me, because it's one of my favourite things on earth to eat.

Dude, I can't even lift Le Creuset. I have two of their pieces, and have never used the saucepan. If I need roadies to carry it, I ain't using it.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

The cat is no problem; if anything, it'll be a relief to downsize to just one (from four) for the weekend. Thank you!

No worries. It's good to have an excuse to scrub the house, anyway. Email me with details?

The more I learn, the more I realize how little I know.

could someone let me know the general guidelines about keeping kosher?

This is a good starting point.

That's the pain / That cuts a straight line down through the heart / We call it love

Insent to your profile address, Jesse.

This is all so exciting! When does Nilly land in LA?

"It didn't taste good. It tasted soooo horrible. It tasted like....a vodka martini." - Matilda

Allyson, no need to send along the pot.

It took me a few seconds to correctly parse this statement.

A turkey in every toilet -- only in America!

When does Nilly land in LA?

She was scheduled to land a half hour ago.

t edit Correction. El Al website says she landed early at 10:00 PDT!

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Nilly has a document she's been using as a keep-kosher guide, I think -- I'd go with whatever Allyson or Lee has.

thanks dcp, for the link. Interesting.

I'll pick up something for the stovetop and something for the oven, maybe at Kitchens, Etc. See what happens this weekend.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

I didn't get a specific document. I am just going on various emails and the safety net of having several kosher markets and a kosher bagel place close enough to me that Nilly won't starve.
