Plan what to do, what to wear (you can never go wrong with a corset), and get ready for the next BuffistaCon: New Orleans! May 20-22, 2005!

Nilly, I'm so glad you got the visa - that's a huge step out of the way.
Deb, that's awesome. I know you'd love to see her.
Sorry for posting and running before.
smonster, that bites, and blows, and sucks, all at the same time. What days are you going to be here?
Ticket is bought for 8/27 to 9/4. Sat. is reserved for my ex-roomie and his BF, who posted here a few times as Samantha (ex-roomie, not BF). Conf. starts Sunday but I should have evenings free.
t runs off again
smonster, I should be back in SF before 4 September - I'll likely fly into Minneapolis Friday, and be back Monday or so, so plenty of time for local F2F.
ita, I was kind of hoping to at least watch Krav as well. Is that going to be possible?
Wow, this thread went post-crazy. Wonder what caused that?
An El-Al flight to LA on the 12th of August (with a stop in Toronto) seems to be the best option right now
What part of Nilly's itinerary does JSw think sounds really interesting? How much of a stop, I am wondering, for driving out to the airport and meeting Nilly purposes?
We're talking about Toronto here, some people's third choice for the preliminary 2005 F2F location discussion, now with added "Nilly Stopped Here" excitement!
I thought of you immediately, JS.
Also Nilly should know, if it's a lengthy layover, that the international terminal at Pearson has a Harrods - the only one in North America as far as I know.
Well, I may have to back out of joining in the SF festivities after all. My dad's just been hospitalized over a recurrence of the seizures he used to have 20 years ago, and while I hope everything will be on an even keel by late August I can't really start making plans at this point. Also, don't want to commit money to flights and hotel until I know whether or not my folks are going to slammed by big medical expenses.
then why can't she ride in a car if someone else is driving? I'm confused.
There's a prohibition against travelling, seperate from the prohibition against electricity. As for the lights, if someone else happens to turn a light on, then a Shabbos-observing person is allowed to use it. (Also, there are certain things that you're allowed to ask a non-Jewish person to do for you on Shabbos, but you're not allowed to ask the same thing of a Jewish person, even if that person doesn't observe Shabbos. I can never remember which things these are, though.)
I'm so sorry to hear about your dad, Matt. Hope all is well soon.
Matt, I'm so sorry. Strength to you.
And since I haven't posted it yet, congratulations Nilly! I'm so excited you're approved and coming here!
