Wesley: Feng Shui. Gunn: Right. What's that mean again? Wesley: That people will believe anything. Actually, in this place, Feng Shui will probably have enormous significance. I'll align my furniture the wrong way and suddenly catch fire or turn into a pudding.

Plan what to do, what to wear (you can never go wrong with a corset), and get ready for the next BuffistaCon: New Orleans! May 20-22, 2005!

Raquel: Insent to your profile address.

(sorry everyone who is not Raquel-- it is at least related to a F2F meeting.)

Our wings are not tired

I definitely won't have time to work on the ballot until the weekend.

Not a problem. I'll get the cities up and listed here and we can hash out the exact wording and layout and such for the ballot.

So, everyone here's the list of cities as I have it, what am I missing?

New Orleans
Toronto
Kansas City/Lawrence
Minneapolis
Nashville
Cleveland
Austin
San Antonio (Did we talk about this one, or am I smoking crack?)

What am I missing. I don't have my cheat sheet in front of me, but I want to get this rolling.

We're telling folks that they can choose two from among all the cities. The two votes will get equal weight and then the 4 cities with the most votes will be looked into in depth with regards to available hotels, costs, etc. etc.

"This bar smells like kerosene and stripper tears."

Not to answer for Astarte, but I think she may have been doing Austin/San Antonio instead of
Austin
San Antonio

Cool, so it might be a slash for Austin and San Antonio, we'll wait for Astarte to confirm for us.

How are you me? You need to stop that. Only I can be me. ~Kara

Sorry, ND, wasn't trying to pressure, just wondered if I'd missed a memo.

Those are the cities I remember. We could either do two lists of all cities and have someone choose one from the first and a different one from the second, or, if we didn't want people to choose the same city both times, then we could list all possible combinations. I really can't imagine anyone choosing the same city twice if we ask them not to, though.

Fred Pete is also counting the votes by hand, so he can just throw out any duplicates like that.

I think you're right Deena. Though maybe there's something that can me done to prevent a city from being chosen twice (I use the passive voice because I don't know how to do it, and I'm not telling any one they should).

Woe to the fucking wicked.

They were slashed in her original post.

Apart from that, that's the list I have.

I have a vague recollection of that being the weekend of commencement in Lawrence, and so it was taken off the table. Am I smoking the bad crack or does someone else remember that?

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Am I smoking the bad crack or does someone else remember that?

::takes a huff of Debet's pipe::

No, that's how I remember it too.

It really doesn't matter. It's just an opinion. Don't worry about it. Not worth the hassle.

Yep - things were going to be booked solid because of the commencement. It's always going to be an issue with a college town that time of year, methinks.
