FTR, I hate flying, and have never noticed the takeoffs out of National being any worse than anywhere else. This thread is the only place I've ever seen anyone mention it.
Jess is me. I've flown in and out of National four times since September, and never noticed the takeoffs being anything better or worse than anywhere else. (I'm usually a slightly nervous flyer -- I don't get really phobic, but a bit jittery.)
meara, Hil, are either of you still looking for a roommate for Saturday night? I've decided that staying in the hotel isn't going to be THAT much cheaper than taking a cab to and from the Prom, so I may as well just get a room and save myself the trouble.

The published rates are only for 2 or 4 people, but I don't think we have to tell the hotel if we want to squeeze in a 3rd.
