I'd actually like Cleveland too. Deena did a nice post about the place a while back.
(It's a Kansas City tourism page with $64 for a two night stay. They got whole other kinds of numbers out there in the flat lands.)
Oooh. Cheapness. Intriguing.

Plan what to do, what to wear (you can never go wrong with a corset), and get ready for the next BuffistaCon: New Orleans! May 20-22, 2005!

Are we going to do a FredPete counting of the top 3-4 sites, then send out RFPs? What about a Mr. Poll "Pick your top 4 of the following cities" linked in Press?
Insert pointless rambling about various cities here. Pretty much all the ones suggested sound good. Have special place in heart for Buffistas in NOLA, but understand that the climate is a challenge.
I can set up the poll, smonster. Or people can e-mail me (or the Buffista vote address), because a poll might leave out cities. If we're going to narrow down the cities by 7/15, we have time to work up a format.
What we might want to do now is divvy up city research. Everybody pick a city and look up things like climate, transportation, hotel pricing, attractions, and the like.
(Edit to fix typo.)

I thought we had....
I'm so confused now.
I know that I'm proposing and researching the Cities. That much I know.

Maybe I'm the confused one.

I am not proposing any cities, but I can provide a place to host pages pimping various cities if needed.
Nashville, Cleveland, or Chicago would be my picks at the moment.
I'm unclear on whether we were going to vote first, then send out hotel proposals, or the other way 'round.
Nashville is central?
I'd call Nashville central. Of course, I'm from New York. Everything west of Syracuse is central to me.
[link] Resort in the Central Texas area. Most likely fly into San Antonio. They are set up for conferences/family reunion groups pretty well it looks like. Sunset Room for hospitality.
It's 45 mins from San Antonio, and 90 from Austin.
I've posted previously on attractions in the Central Texas area.
Are we supposed to be getting data based off the revised RFP? If so, could I get a copy, please?
