F2F 2: Is there anybody here that hasn't slept together?

Plan what to do, what to wear (you can never go wrong with a corset), and get ready for the next BuffistaCon: New Orleans! May 20-22, 2005!

Ann, that's a ferret.

I can set up the poll, smonster. Or people can e-mail me (or the Buffista vote address), because a poll might leave out cities. If we're going to narrow down the cities by 7/15, we have time to work up a format.

What we might want to do now is divvy up city research. Everybody pick a city and look up things like climate, transportation, hotel pricing, attractions, and the like.

(Edit to fix typo.)

I’d be lying if I didn’t say that I miss them all tonight…

Everybody pick a city and look up things like climate, transportation, hotel pricing, attractions, and the like.

I thought we had....

I'm so confused now.

I know that I'm proposing and researching the Cities. That much I know.

Maybe I'm the confused one.

Our wings are not tired.

Everybody pick a city and look up things like climate, transportation, hotel pricing, attractions, and the like.

I am not proposing any cities, but I can provide a place to host pages pimping various cities if needed.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Nashville, Cleveland, or Chicago would be my picks at the moment.

I'm unclear on whether we were going to vote first, then send out hotel proposals, or the other way 'round.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

Nashville is central?

I was charmed (albeit somewhat perplexed) by the fannish sensibility of many of the music choices -- it's like the director was trying to vid Canada. --loligo on the Olympic Opening Ceremonies

I'd call Nashville central. Of course, I'm from New York. Everything west of Syracuse is central to me.

Not having has never been the thing I've regretted most in my life. Not trying is.

[link] Resort in the Central Texas area. Most likely fly into San Antonio. They are set up for conferences/family reunion groups pretty well it looks like. Sunset Room for hospitality.

It's 45 mins from San Antonio, and 90 from Austin.

I've posted previously on attractions in the Central Texas area.

Are we supposed to be getting data based off the revised RFP? If so, could I get a copy, please?

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

I really think we should go with the bid system. If someone thinks we should go to "their" city they should put together a package and advocate with it.

Not having has never been the thing I've regretted most in my life. Not trying is.

I don't think that's practical for a July timetable with any degree of certainty.

I'm not sure there's a consensus of what we want to bid on, even.

Here's a resort closer in to Austin for y'all's perusal. [link]
