Can MM and I join?
I don't see why not. Though bear in mind, you'll be driving around under glass in LA, and can expect major dessication. It didn't do the Pope any favours, before he got that little car he looked like Justin Timberlake.
Plan what to do, what to wear (you can never go wrong with a corset), and get ready for the next BuffistaCon: New Orleans! May 20-22, 2005!

Deb, if you're still here, can you keep a couch or a corner open for me for the SF leg of Nilly-goes-west? It can be in the cat-ridden part of the house. I'll just up my meds from one-cat dosage to 12-cat dosage.
I don't think that we should try to do the F2F for Memorial Day weekend. Prices are up for everything, it's harder to book, tourists are everywhere, and some folks may have plans. I would vote the 21st of May, then the 4th of June.
(does the happy dance of getting to meet Beverly)
Can we do a Mr. Poll for the dates, and announce it in Press? I know most people who want to attend will be checking the thread, but we are just coming off of a holiday weekend, and peeps may be skipping. Also, auto-tracking the responses seems to be a good thing.
And I vote for any weekend that is not Memorial Day weekend.
I can't explain why, but Mr. Poll always, always, ALWAYS makes me think 'Mr. Donut'!
shouldn't it be Mr. Poll and Ms. Donut getting together. I mean, I guess Mr. poll and Mr. donut can , the other is just a classic.
(Dancing with Nicole!)
Regardless of what location we decide on, it's almost certain to be a warmer rather than colder location, as most Buffistas prefer the warm. (I know, I'm a freak). I agree with Vortex (heh. typoed "Cortex") we should avoid Memorial Day weekend, but I put in 72 votes for earlier rather than later, to avoid touron season, and because NOLA or any other warmish locale may be a degree or two cooler before the end of May. I'm still thinking Cleveland sounds terrific. How central-ish is it considered? Would it even be in the running for central-continent F2F?
So, we're slashing Mr. Poll and Mr. Donut? Wouldn't it work better with Mr. Pole and Mr. Donut?

I wish Steph were Alan Greenspan, because I'd love to see the WSJ trying to puzzle out what this means for the equity market.
