'Sleeper'

F2F 2: Is there anybody here that hasn't slept together?

Plan what to do, what to wear (you can never go wrong with a corset), and get ready for the next BuffistaCon: New Orleans! May 20-22, 2005!

Our wings are not tired

So, I'm going to be topic dude and post another item that we need to talk about for F2F 2005. The Dates.

I know that it seems very very far off, but the reality is to talk to hotels and do all those other fun things we need to look at dates. Also, once they are set then folks can do what they need to do to try to schedule around them. I know that some people can't decide their schedules this far out. There are others for whom the earlier the date is chosen the better so that they can lock out the dates. If we wait some folks get hurt, if we choose early we might lose others. The reality is we gain a lot by having our dates chosen when we are dealing with hotels. This is even more the case if we want to explore booking an entire hotel as we talked about for this year. So, with that being said, the two weekends that look best and keep it in sync with this year's and last year's dates are:

May 14 and May 21

These are both Saturdays and would be the date of the prom. The weekend before those is Mother's Day Weekend, the one after is Memorial day weekend.

Let's start kicking this around. I'd like to see dates chosen in the next couple of weeks.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

Shoot. The 14th is in the middle of finals, and the 22nd is graduation. I think it's more likely that I'd be able to make the 14th, so I'll tentatively say that the 14th looks better for me.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

I vote for the 21st, since my perception is that later in May is better for students and teachers. If I am talking out of my ass, I will change my vote.

Okay, I change my vote, based on Hil's post, but maybe we want to try the 28th?

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

Looks like my graduation will be the 14th.

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

I can finally see the rest of Sean's pictures, and, okay, I like this one of me (mostly because most of me is behind Cass), even though I *really* don't remember it at all.

You can't leave me to my own devices; my devices are Nap and Eat. -Zenkitty

And though there's drawback to these weekends, we should still give some consideration to the weekends of April 30th and June 4th.

It really doesn't matter. It's just an opinion. Don't worry about it. Not worth the hassle.

Assuming I can make next year''s F2F, the only real anything resembling a limitation on me timewise is that Memorial Day weekend is always BayCon. And I suspect I'm going to be invited back, since this year went well.

Any other time is OK.

How are you me? You need to stop that. Only I can be me. ~Kara

Any weekend is good with me, as long as I know what it is before November.

S to the A -- using they/them pronouns!

Weekend of the 21st, because that's when finals are over.

Edit: PS, did we decide on a place? Because I skipped well over a hundred posts, so.

Our wings are not tired

No, we have not decided on a place, that's still a couple of months away, we're narrowing the field on places on July 15th.

The two dates I posted are a starting point. Those are the ones that line up most closely with what we've done in the past. Pushing much earlier than that means that our student/teaching Buffistas are still in classes.
