F2F 2: Is there anybody here that hasn't slept together?

Plan what to do, what to wear (you can never go wrong with a corset), and get ready for the next BuffistaCon: New Orleans! May 20-22, 2005!

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

Funtown -- Saco, ME (Excalibur wooden coaster)

Ooooh. I've driven by there hundreds of times, but never actually gone on it.

I'll hopefully be able to join for at least a few, but I won't be able to figure out which ones until you've figured out which ones will be when.

Thrive to spite them

My pictures are developed and will be online soon! Except for most of the Prom pictures because, although I thought I turned on the Flash I either really didn't or it the button had to be pushed each time.

Also I learned that disposable cameras and the cost of developing the pictures is too expensive. I need to get a digital camera and save money.

Yes, one of the mandatory Buffista technology acquisitions, apparently.

Let's see: Wireless laptop, Sidekick, Digicam, Cellphone. Is there anything I missing from the list? (I have none of those things, and now want all of them. Life Unfair to TechnoHaveNots!1!)

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Well, you get more points for combining those into as few devices as possible.

I'd also recommend a TiVo and an iPod.

Our wings are not tired

The Sidekick is also a cellphone, so you can combine two of them right there.

Hmmmm, I seem to have all the Buffista Gadgets.

Thrive to spite them

I briefly considered getting a cell phone and ditching my home phone, but I really don't make/get enough calls to really justify the expense.

But I want the rest of it.

I have a friend who just did that ditching thing, askye. He hasn't come out and admitted it, but he's been pissed off with it.

You kinda get used to flawless reception when making calls from home, but something changed with his service about 2 months in, and now he doesn't even get that. I'd go nuts.

I have all the Buffista gadgets I want. No interest in a Sidekick.

Oh! Multi-region DVD player -- also useful.

Dude, you are totally the prototype for "Hmm, I seem to be in contact with the Buffistas at any time of the day or night. Excelllllent."

I'd also recommend a TiVo and an iPod.

No TiVO available in Canadia, although there is a website dedicated to workarounds, I gather. There are DVRs but they aren't quite as cool as Steve-O. The iPod has been on the list for awhile too.

A friend tried to talk me into doing that when I moved into my last place, but I wasn't keen. Bad reception and tiny buttons on cellphones drive me batty. I don't have a business need for one, usually (until all payphones everywhere go the way of the dodo), but I have to admit, using them as walkie-talkies to meet up with your friends is just about worthwhile all by itself.

Multi-region dvd player? Have had one for ages, for the express purpose of viewing foreign btvs dvds. I don't foresee another BtVS coming along. IOW, I won't care that much, most likely, even for stuff like Shaolin Soccer.

I have a cell phone, which includes a camera and mobile IM, and could let me access email if I paid a bit more. It's cool, though the mobile IM has been relatively unhelpful. Anyone who'd be IMing me could just as easily call me, and it's a pain to type on the numeric keypad.
