I briefly considered getting a cell phone and ditching my home phone, but I really don't make/get enough calls to really justify the expense.
But I want the rest of it.
Plan what to do, what to wear (you can never go wrong with a corset), and get ready for the next BuffistaCon: New Orleans! May 20-22, 2005!

I have a friend who just did that ditching thing, askye. He hasn't come out and admitted it, but he's been pissed off with it.
You kinda get used to flawless reception when making calls from home, but something changed with his service about 2 months in, and now he doesn't even get that. I'd go nuts.
I have all the Buffista gadgets I want. No interest in a Sidekick.
Oh! Multi-region DVD player -- also useful.
Hmmmm, I seem to have all the Buffista Gadgets.
Dude, you are totally the prototype for "Hmm, I seem to be in contact with the Buffistas at any time of the day or night. Excelllllent."
I'd also recommend a TiVo and an iPod.
No TiVO available in Canadia, although there is a website dedicated to workarounds, I gather. There are DVRs but they aren't quite as cool as Steve-O. The iPod has been on the list for awhile too.

A friend tried to talk me into doing that when I moved into my last place, but I wasn't keen. Bad reception and tiny buttons on cellphones drive me batty. I don't have a business need for one, usually (until all payphones everywhere go the way of the dodo), but I have to admit, using them as walkie-talkies to meet up with your friends is just about worthwhile all by itself.
Multi-region dvd player? Have had one for ages, for the express purpose of viewing foreign btvs dvds. I don't foresee another BtVS coming along. IOW, I won't care that much, most likely, even for stuff like Shaolin Soccer.
I have a cell phone, which includes a camera and mobile IM, and could let me access email if I paid a bit more. It's cool, though the mobile IM has been relatively unhelpful. Anyone who'd be IMing me could just as easily call me, and it's a pain to type on the numeric keypad.
I have a cell phone and no home phone, and I'm doing fine. I'm a little wary of my apartment next year, though. Uncertain about the signal quality.
I love my cell phone. I hate using it at home.
Even when you don't consider BtVS, my multi-region player is worth its weight in gold for The Professionals and Crying Freeman. Vidocq is just gravy.
I had only a cellphone for awhile, back when I first got it, but then I moved in with roommates, so we had a home phone, and since then I've had DSL, so I have to have a home phone anyway. Mostly use my cell, though. It's got all the phone numbers in it!
We've got a home phone, but I don't ever give out the number, and very rarely use it unless it is to get a FAX.
I like my cellphone with no picture. I like retaining some mystery, thanks. Also no iPod, sidekick, palm device of any sort, or TiVo. Working on the digital camera. Have multi-region dvd player, and functional wireless laptop. Which apparently didn't like Anne's wireless setup, or the operator was too dumb to set the laptop up right. Yes, Anne,
I lurves me some rollercoasters. Also, any other kind of ride that involves plummetting.
Who is a plummetting freak! I'm glad I didn't know this about you before. Nah, you go, have fun with it. I have serious plummetting problems. One of my major major freak-points.
