Well put August 7-8 in your calendar then! Put longer if you want. (Is everyone else out there listening? And where would I have a little poll to find out who might be able to make it? Where’s the proper place to have that discussion?)
I'd be able to make it on the 8th, and maybe part of the 7th. I've got a wedding to go to on the 7th (my best friend from where I grew up is getting married, which is totally freaking me out), but that's in NJ, and in the afternoon, so I'll be halfway there already.
August 8 I cannot do. I do the Ojai Playwrights conference each year (I'm the production manager) and it's from the 8th to the 16th this year. In fact they moved the dates of the conference and I have tickets to see Weird Al on the 8th and I'm trying to see if I can juggle that right now.

I've still not posted a lot of my thoughts from the weekend but I wanted to share two things from prom, and amazingly they are not porn related. One was a wonderful talk I was having with a small group out on the patio and my whole adoption and family experience from the holidays, and the other was Beverly catching me and hugging me, and relating some of her experience with the issue. It part of the reason I was already kinda teary when I got the class protector award, and then that pushed me over the edge again.
Hell, I'm crying again now.
Someone has to be in charge of my feet next year, because I clearly can't take care of them.

Sorry. Anything after the weekend of the seventh will probably be no good for me. I've got qualifying exams the last week of August, and those last few weeks will have to be intensive studying time.
