'Touched'

F2F 2: Is there anybody here that hasn't slept together?

Plan what to do, what to wear (you can never go wrong with a corset), and get ready for the next BuffistaCon: New Orleans! May 20-22, 2005!

I can't even.

Hee! I thought about rephrasing, then remembered where I was.

Bwah!

Stay on target ...

Artoo see if you can increase the power.

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

Because you all wanted to know -- my feet no longer hurt. Finally.

Someone has to be in charge of my feet next year, because I clearly can't take care of them.

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

Yay for non-hurting feet!

Start shopping *now* for cute but comfy shoes, is what I say.

I can't fathom the non-logic that made me leave gym shoes at home. I'm not the brightest porch light on the block sometimes.

move out and draw fire

I second Teppy's vote (that she didn't know she made) for more comfy chairs at the next F2F.

Heh..."Mommy, how do babies happen?" "Well, it starts with TOO MUCH CANDY!"

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

I can't fathom the non-logic that made me leave gym shoes at home.

Hey, it's probably a hell of a lot better than my non-logic about not taking pain-killers and wearing heels.

Your shoes were hanging out with Lee's toothbrush.

I like my vote!

Your shoes were hanging out with Lee's toothbrush.

Lee's toothbrush was in the trunk of my car?

The status is NOT quo.

I am reverting to a meara (and how cool that I now have a face to put to the verb! Hi meara!) to chime in on the conversation I missed today:

I just think people are stating their preferences and impressions of locales. Personally, I don't like Denver very much, but I'll go where the Buffistas are. The decision will come down to the stats, right? Price/fun/whathaveyou?

First and foremost, this. I have changed my vote at least four times just seeing all of the cool places everyone has suggested! In my last post, I mentioned that I thought further north would be better for those who were worried about the heat, but I’m being contrary and changing my vote again. The truth is that I have always always wanted to see New Orleans and have never been, and I am dying to see it. So that’s my vote and I’m stickin’ to it. At least until I change my mind again.

I am a lizard (not as cool as the Lizard, mind you) who likes basking in the sun and who is always cold, and I’m freaky enough that I don’t even mind the humidity. Even for people who hate it, though, I think the points made about the AC are very valid, especially since our emphasis is more time together than time sightseeing.

I wonder if I can get a white sequinned jumpsuit/kilt.

I think you should get this even if we don’t go to Memphis, ‘cause, funny. I think smonster’s right though: you probably could pull it off. Scary!

hey! nobody got killed! or even molested. Unless you count being molested by the Buffistas.

If we count that, no one is safe anywhere we go.

Continued for Hec. The rest of you can scroll by.

Bev, not a chance. I have loved reading your narrative about your time at the F2F. It was so lovely getting to know you (what a wonderful person!). Also, I love seeing how everyone’s experience and perceptions were different.

All dolled up, we headed for the elevator. There was a sole, singular, defenseless man caught unawares by our collective gorgeousness when the doors opened. He didn't seem able to make eye contact, but ducked out of the elevator as we got on. Then he apparently realized he was on the wrong floor and ducked back in. "If you're going anywhere but the penthouse, tell us and we'll let you off on the way," someone said. "If you're good," I murmured. I'm not sure he heard me.

That was so damned funny. I thought he was going to melt into the floor.

I think we are all intended to be learning organisms. If it takes a leather kilt sighting, so mote it be.

I was about to agree and then realized I was reading one of the words wrong. Ahem. Ehm. t clearing throat

I still think it's midwest, but what's generally thought of as midwest is REALLY far East of Me.

Wherever we go, can we be somewhere where I can meet Plei, please? Pretty please?

Also, at some point, I would really, really like to go somewhere where there can be an excursion to an amusement park.

Come to New England! Six Flags is near! Oh wait. 2007. Right.

They are splendid, and while it is canon here that we are all bespelled by them, I think your eyes have been woefully underpraised.

This.

F2F 2005: NOLA gets the Bendovers

BWAH! SNORT!

I just keep scanning through my calendar for the summer and seeing all these open dates and weekends and such and then trying to figure out how many places I can visit with Buffistas this summer. I want a F2F every weekend!

Well put August 7-8 in your calendar then! Put longer if you want. (Is everyone else out there listening? And where would I have a little poll to find out who might be able to make it? Where’s the proper place to have that discussion?)

Okay then. Done typing now.
