May have been the losing side. Still not convinced it was the wrong one.

Plan what to do, what to wear (you can never go wrong with a corset), and get ready for the next BuffistaCon: New Orleans! May 20-22, 2005!

"This bar smells like kerosene and stripper tears."

The places right up on the street with the ceiling fans on, or doors open if they have doors.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

But I think if ND wants to do it, we should let him.

I’d be lying if I didn’t say that I miss them all tonight…

Didn't ND volunteer to organize it, a little earlier?

That did seem to be the general thrust. I also thought that DC did have a local point person, but that person got overwhelmed with personal concerns. I could very well be wrong.

But, as I think I've intimated, I'm more than happy to be then local point person for MSP.

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

The places right up on the street with the ceiling fans on, or doors open if they have doors.

Does that make a big difference? Because the one day I was in NOLA (literally 1 day -- possibly less than 24 hours) we started drinking as soon as we walked out of the hotel, so I don't have a real accurate memory of outdoor-directed climate control.

Our wings are not tired

I'll be overall point person and work with the local point person.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

One nice thing about not feeling well and staying home to work is that I am wearing pjs, my tiara, and my medal, and no one is looking at me funny.

Well, the cats are, but they don't count, since they can't laugh.

No, I'm not sure it does, and I was mostly joking, but it does help that if you're starting to get too hot, you just step in somewhere.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

Does that make a big difference?

It does, in terms of having somewhere to stop where you're not just in the sun. Also, simple things like walking on the shady side of the street, or wearing lighter fabrics and light colors, and avoiding being in the sun in the middle of the day, can make a big difference.

Not having has never been the thing I've regretted most in my life. Not trying is.

I'll happily help with local organization in the Central Texas (Austin/San Antonio primarily) area if that's chosen.

I'll actually be happier to help with a NOLA site, because that's what I'm pulling for personally. I probably would be more useful closer to home, though.
