'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

I hardly got to speak to Tony, what with one thing or another, which is yet another regret -- however, to judge by the grin on his face, he was having a great time with Fred's friends. Bicyclop's Cheryl (sp?) and Lyra's Patrick, and Sheryl's Gary, though, I got lots of delightful conversation with. The Miracleborn's friend Andrew also fit in like a Buffista born.

Now that I look at some of the pictures, I'm amazed by how few people I actually conversed with. There just wasn't enough time -- seriously, I talked and talked and talked and I still didn't interact with half enough of them. I should probably make a list next year and check off people as I talk to them, so I can keep track of how I'm doing....

I look more rad than Lutheranism

Sweet Italian Jesus.

My feet hurt SO badly.

Random initial post-F2F comments:

*don't pack ONLY stupid shoes if you're going to walk around a big city
* Maria? So. HOTT.
* Raquel? So. HOTT. (And she looks like someone from TV or movies -- a lot of us thought so, but nobody could think of who.)
* I don't believe in the cicadas.
* Our bartender from last night is traumatized.
* MM and NoiseDesign must NEVER be allowed in Vatican City.
* Fred Pete and Hubs are not only a damn good-looking couple, they're also a cute-as-hell couple.
* Ditto for the Lizard and Reema.(AND I got to mack on Lizard!)
* I have walked a mile (okay, 3 blocks) in Holli's shoes, and she in mine, and now we understand each other, man.
* Brendon? Still tall.
* Geeking out by the pool with Holli about superheros and Frodo-N-Sam's pure love? Supah fun.
* Finally getting to play backgammon with Jess? Fabulous.
* Who has cool new hair color? Trudy and smonster, that's who.
* Vortex's boobs are mesmerizing.
* I wasn't hungover either morning. The Apocalypse must be upon us.
* If this bumper sticker is blue, you're going too fast.
* Vietnam Wall? Still renders me speechless and teary.
* My hotel room was, I'm fairly certain, actually in Maryland.
* Marriage seems to agree with the Zmayhems, who were spectacularly happy.
* vw and I have very good taste in dresses.
* I still have glitter on my arms.
* DebetEsse and Plei look eerily alike.
* Did I mention Vortex's boobs?
* I danced with Scola!
* "Lovesick Ass" ROOOLZ.
* And finally, MM and Sean must *never* slam-dance. Because the resulting injuries affect more than Sean's ribs. IJS.

I didn't mean to leave anyone off this list; it's late and my feet hurt and I gotta go to bed and these are just my *initial* random thoughts.

Will post pictures tomorrow.

S to the A -- using they/them pronouns!

The Miracleborn's friend Andrew also fit in like a Buffista born.

So that's who that was! I was wondering who Andrew was.

Now that I look at some of the pictures, I'm amazed by how few people I actually conversed with.

I got in more actual talk-time this year than I did last year, which made me happy. But still, so many people, so little time.

DebetEsse and Plei look eerily alike.

Dood. They so do. Deb and I were saying this.

I danced with Scola!

No way! Jealous, much?

Because the resulting injuries affect more than Sean's ribs. IJS.

Though I gotta say, damn funny when he goes: "*coughcough* OWWWWW!" because he does it with this pissed-off growl in his voice that's so very un-Seanlike that it's amusing as hell.

And Maria? DAMN hot.

"It didn't taste good. It tasted soooo horrible. It tasted like....a vodka martini." - Matilda

I had a great time meeting everyone. I took off this evening to see a friend, but I hope everyone else is having a good time at the Tabard Inn. We're leaving to drive back early in the morning. I have pictures, but they'll have to wait until I get home, since I'm on dialup. I hope everyone has a safe trip home.

Well, it's *funny* compassion. Heal with laughter, and all.

Back home now. Glad your travels worked today, SA.

Such fun meeting so many buffistas -- lovely, gracious bunch.

Y'know, if he actually *took* the vicodin, *he'd* be finding everything funny and therefore healing himself with laughter.

I like that angle.

And we will call it... "This Land."

Get off work, go home, feed the cats, take the Metro downtown, find Buffistas (randomly in the Metro, no less), stand in an extremely crowded karaoke bar somewhere in Crystal City, go home, sleep, wake up, forget to feed cats, drive downtown (getting stuck in traffic all the way), hang out in a hotel penthouse knitting and talking with Buffistas, marvel at the glittering galaxy of glam which is the Prom, go home, get chewed on by angry cats, sleep, wake up, step out of air conditioned bedroom and curse DC weather for the umpteenth time, drive downtown again and learn that not only do Buffistas knit, they also spin their own yarn on amazing travelling spinning wheels, go home, shop for groceries, get Bil fed before he goes off to work and pretend it's just an ordinary Sunday.

I have no idea what I'm going to say tomorrow if anyone asks what I did this weekend. If it's not Nascar, soccer or beer, they don't much care.

It was all thanks to you. I appreciate it so much; I probably would have been standing around going "Wuh?" if you didn't help me get around. So thank you, so much, Jen.

We should tell him this.
