Death is your art. You make it with your hands day after day. That final gasp, that look of peace. And part of you is desperate to know: What's it like? Where does it lead you? And now you see, that's the secret. Not the punch you didn't throw or the kicks you didn't land. She really wanted it. Every Slayer has a death wish. Even you.

The lost sheep grow teeth, forsake their lambs, and lie with the lions.

No parking restrictions in my area. Just don't block anyone's driveway.

LJ, I didn't get your email. Did you send it to my profile addy? If you want to reach me quickly try me at work at aweber AT bernan DOT com.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

I thought we got half-price parking at the hotel as part of our group rate?

You always do this. We get tipsy, and you take advantage of my love of the scientific method.

Jessica, we do. I checked Java's original post. It's $11/night. Not great, but better.

Haven't seen mentioned recently in discussion of F2F activities: OMWF singalong. Are we still planning to do that? If so, any idea when?

A turkey in every toilet -- only in America!

Thanks for the info meara. We should be getting to the hotel by 4 or 4:30ish. What restrictions are in place before 6:30?

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

I thought that the whole point was that they were in the same block, so that people could go back and forth.

That was my understanding. Also, I have a hard time believing that we'll be unable to find food either in one of the two bars or somewhere on the block. I wouldn't worry.

some streets do not allow you to park between 4 & 6:30 (to add an extra lane for traffic flow) Others have meters that last until 6:30. It's a business district, so there shouldn't be problems parking on the weekends, but Friday afternoon might be a little dicey.

Up with the sun

Oh, I missed that. (I never go to Crystal City.)

Neither pool nor karaoke is really my thing -- I suck at both -- so I suspect I'll prop myself in a corner with beverages. Hopefully someone will talk to me.
