Dammit. Crying now at what loves y'all are to work to get me there.
I'm thinking. I'm money-panicking about the whole car mess, but I'm also thinking about whether I can actually manage a trip or not.

Plan what to do, what to wear (you can never go wrong with a corset), and get ready for the next BuffistaCon: New Orleans! May 20-22, 2005!

Ok - Anne, Vortex insent.
Vortex, incoming from me with info.
Dammit. Walking the line between reallyreally wanting you to come amych, and being understanding about practicalities.
Hell, practicalities be damned. Come, please!
I will grudgingly (*very* grudgingly) understand if you can't make it, but I really hope you'll be there, amych.
I won't understand. I refuse to understand.

::pets:: We can always call the people we wish were there. It goes a long way towards the closeness factor.
Damn. I'm going to have to
kidnap
convince some nc-istas that we can't f2f w/out them, huh?
Vortex, insent my info and amyth's (except for her email, i just realized) at aol addy.
amych, you can stay with me...my husband's getting used to the idea of having "complete strangers" stay over. (Hey, I've been a lovely hostess for random people he's invited over in various countries).
Oh, man, you people are killing me. The problem is, it's not so much a "need that chunk of money for a car" problem as a "still have no savings and shit credit after the jobhunt so I need to cut back radically on any kind of indulgence at all" problem. And hence a little more tricky to work around.
But the Buffista-love? Really fucking amazing. I'm all weepy again.
I see your issue. I had this issue. We have no business spending baby money on a "silly" trip. But, in 7 months we're gonna have to be all responsible and stuff.
If you come, it will do you good. Maybe not your pocketbook, but you. And you are who you have to take care of. The pocketbook will survive it.
(Also, your credit might not be as bad as you think. If you ever want help cleanig it up, let me know. I love doing it.)
