Ooo, ND! Cool!

May I be a flake and say that the details about food are probably in the hotel website, which I don't want to look at right this minute? In fact, would someone like to deal with the reception/food stuff?

The contract states that we are obligated to meet a food and beverage minimum (of $800, not including 10% tax & 20% service)), it quotes the food prices above, and reiterates that all food & bev served in the hotel must be purchased from the hotel. (which we knew; which they all say).

There's another section on F&B policy, their license requires the bartender to check ID, and refuse to serve someone who appears intoxicated. They encourage us to have a designated driver policy, or they will assist in that and/or overnight accomodations.

Our wings are not tired

Bring the PC with wireless and we'll have multiple stations. I'll bring the iBook with iPhoto and make sure I have a CF reader and some other stuff like that for uploading pictures. We'll basically set up a local wireless node in the suite so any wireless network computers can be online from there. I'll also make sure I've got my Powerbook with me, from there I can make DVD's that have slideshows of pictures too.

The more I learn, the more I realize how little I know.

The hotel web site doesn't give details, but I did find this:

FREE High-Speed Internet Access in Every Guest Room! And we've also installed Wi-Fi access points in the lobby, restaurant, and meeting rooms.

Thrive to spite them

It's so exciting to see the list! And I'm on it (I keep thinking something will keep me from coming...but no power in the 'verse can stop me).

For the record, I'm staying with Anne W and I need to give someone my contact information...although I don't have a cell phone.

"It didn't taste good. It tasted soooo horrible. It tasted like....a vodka martini." - Matilda

I can add my laptop to the mix, too.

"Cry havoc and let slip the boobs of war!" -- Miracleman

Is there more detailed information about the net access?

yes, there's wireless throughout the hotel, and every room has a high speed connection (bring your own cord, tho) Believe me, we checked on that.

information libertarian

Java, in mid-May, in the DC area, the lowest nighttime temps might be is around 50. They could be as high as in the 70s. If you are going to the mountains, adjust lower accordingly. I think a poly bag will be fine, though.

I wish I were coming (except for the whole scary humans thing - and anyway, baby, impractical), and so appreciate the work everyone is doing. It looks like it will all be faaabulous.
