People would have lost IQ watching the movies.
I would have lost more IQ points. Had I been the sort to take pee breaks, those would have been the moments, even with Viggo.
Blech.

Frodo: Please, what does it always mean, this... this "Aragorn"? Elrond: That's his name. Aragorn, son of Arathorn. Aragorn: I like "Strider." Elrond: We named the *dog* "Strider".
A discussion of Lord of the Rings - The Return of the King. If you're a pervy hobbit fancier, this is the place for you.

I don't think it's Townsend at the root of that effect. I used to know how to do logarhythms, back before I saw the animal crackers scene in Armageddon.

I was always very grateful to PJ for considerately building in pee breaks.
I don't play World of Warcraft, but I know enough about on-line gamer culture to find this pretty funny: Fellowship of the Ringcraft
I'm not sure what this says about society, but if you google "elf" this is the 6th hit: [link]
It's not so much with the work-safe.
Is it me, or is the Legolas in that picture wearing jeans? The rest I don't mind, but those look a lot like jeans, and that seems wrong.
Someone posted this over in Natter earlier today, but in case you're an advocate of the Natter diet and missed it, Stephen Colbert LotR fanfic!
Also, as a followup, the Flick Filosopher says on her blog that:
[Colbert] and I were in attendence of the same press screening of The Return of the King a couple years ago, and he was so full of beans in anticipation of the film that while we were all waiting for the movie to start, he literally ran around the theater trying to get us all to join him in doing the wave.
I thought I could not love Stephen Colbert any more than I already did, but lo, I was wrong.
In the current issue of Time (I think that's what I was reading at the newstand) they confirmed that Viggo did indeed present a special candy coated present to Steven Colbert - a portrait of Viggo-as-Aragorn painted in frosting inside a chocolate frame.
That Vito Morgenstern is some kind of guy, isn't he?
