What you did to me was unbelievable, Connor. But then I got stuck in a hell dimension by my girlfriend one time for a hundred years, so three months under the ocean actually gave me perspective. Kind of a M.C. Escher perspective, but I did get time to think.

LotR - The Return of the King: "We named the *dog* 'Strider'".

Frodo: Please, what does it always mean, this... this "Aragorn"? Elrond: That's his name. Aragorn, son of Arathorn. Aragorn: I like "Strider." Elrond: We named the *dog* "Strider".

A discussion of Lord of the Rings - The Return of the King. If you're a pervy hobbit fancier, this is the place for you.

Art Crawl!!!

Does this mean we can have the Hobbit?

GS: If you had to choose between kicking evil in the head or the behind, which would you choose, and why? Minsc: I'm not sure I understand the question. I have two feet, do I not? You do not take a small plate when the feast of evil welcomes seconds.

I think the Hobbit rights are separate from the LotR rights. So nothing has changed on that front, unfortunately.

Art Crawl!!!

I saw this press release on my Wizard News email and was at first very excited, but reading more carefully, I realized that they are releasing the COMPLETE soundtrack of FoTR only -- 4 disks of just FoTR. I guess next year: TTT and in 07: RotK.

Sigh.

"We are the Goon Squad and we're coming to town...Beep! Beep!" - David Bowie, "Fashion"

According to the imdb it's Viggo's 47th birthday today. Hippo birdies, Strider!

We're very stretchy. - Connie Neil

Saw a commercial for the new Night Stalker last night during Lost. Every time Stuart Townsend showed up on screen, I automatically compare his face to Viggo's and bless PJ's wisdom in ditching ST for the unknown (to him) Viggo.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Heh. JZ and I played that game last night, Kathy.

"Look, it's Not!Aragorn."

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

Yup, Not!Aragorn, here, too.

move out and draw fire

Although even with Viggo, it's clear that PJ's image of Aragorn was thin and a little...feminine? Emotional?

Oh lordy - think of the love scenes if they'd been Townsend and Tyler. People would have lost IQ watching the movies.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

People would have lost IQ watching the movies.

I would have lost more IQ points. Had I been the sort to take pee breaks, those would have been the moments, even with Viggo.

Blech.
