You two carried me through that war. Now I need you to carry me just a little bit further. If you can.

LotR - The Return of the King: "We named the *dog* 'Strider'".

Frodo: Please, what does it always mean, this... this "Aragorn"? Elrond: That's his name. Aragorn, son of Arathorn. Aragorn: I like "Strider." Elrond: We named the *dog* "Strider".

A discussion of Lord of the Rings - The Return of the King. If you're a pervy hobbit fancier, this is the place for you.

Art Crawl!!!

Okay, I would too. And I've only bought one action figure -- and it was a gift.

Although, I can't believe that they won't bring out a cd of the symphony -- what I'm excited about right now is the EE soundtrack thingy. . . which I haven't heard anything about for months.

"I'm useless alone." // "We're all useless alone. It's a good thing you're not alone."

I'd be awfully surprised if a CD of the symphony doesn't come out at some point.

And this time, I'm remembering to Xerox my score. Which, um, I didn't just admit to in public.

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

(Ooh, how would one go about getting a look at the lyrics?)

Although some of the things in that document are slightly weird. It's got Aragorn's coronation, which is a choral member's solo, in movement 2, and it's definitely not until movement 6.

I'll take a look when I get my score.

We're very stretchy. - Connie Neil

Because they haven't squeezed all the discretionary income out of Beverly, Jeff Mejia, Sumi and Kathy Astrom yet?

Hey!! Well, no, wait--it's a fair cop.

Actually, the only movie memorabilia that I've bought for myself have been the Minas Tirith thingee that came with the RotkEE gift set, a LotR bookmark with ring attached to the tassel, the DVDs, and soundtracks. Everything else was either book-related or given to me. They got enough money out of me with all the tickets I bought to see the films.

Although I will go out and buy the boxed complete soundtrack set when it's released (the one with all 9+ hours of EE soundtrack included).

I did right-click all the pictures I could find both of the Meduseld set with the banners and the banner bookmarks, with an eye towards making a set, realscale, for myself.

Ooh, sounds great, Beverly! At the exhibit here of TTT props and sets in 2002, they had a lot of the great Rohan stuff. The banners looked really good. The attention to detail on the Rohan-themed gear was just exquisite, particularly for movie stuff. I think I gushed here before about the backs of things that wouldn't show on camera being complete and lovely. So many of those things were created, not like props, but like things that would be part of someone's life. They looked like historical artifacts. in many cases.

t hides all his LOTR stuff

Like Kathy, I was mostly fortunate in that my family seized on the movie memorabilia as stuff they could relate to (finally) and that I would love as gifts. I say mostly, because I did some of the damage myself. I didn't buy a sword, but oh man, it was close a few times.

Dude, ita's already got Legolas' knives hanging over her door. Get on it.
