Eomer and Eowyn ... yeah ...
I just ordered my copy from Amazon, and they tell me the estimated shipping date is the 17th! Although I know they tend to estimate much longer than it actually takes. I think as long as I get it by the 17th, it'll be OK, since I won't have time earlier in the week to watch it anyway.
Still. wantwantwant NOW.
Damn. Mine isn't to arrive until the 23rd.
I'm just hoping that the estimate is wrong!
I'd never have the patience to have it mailed to me. Too many possibilities for complication.
Well, generally I don't have time to watch it during the week, so if it arrives on Friday or Saturday I'm good.
But if people who are ordering it NOW wind up getting it shipped sooner than I do -- when I ordered v. early I will make another complaint.
Even if I can't watch it, I get a Nillyesque pleasure from just holding it.
There may or may not be crooning and stroking.
ita is me in this regard. I don't even have a TV currently, but I want my DVD right now!

Yikes! That must be wrong, if you ordered early. Maybe you should email or call just to make sure.

I've generally been pleased with Amazon's promptness, and it's cheaper through them than if I buy it around here. But I might end up doing what my friend always does, which is to preorder through Amazon, buy it at Target on the day it comes out, and then return the one from Amazon at Target when it comes.
Well, I'm not going to get upset unless it doesn't switch to "shipping soon" until nearer the 14th, you know?
