LotR - The Return of the King: "We named the *dog* 'Strider'".

Frodo: Please, what does it always mean, this... this "Aragorn"? Elrond: That's his name. Aragorn, son of Arathorn. Aragorn: I like "Strider." Elrond: We named the *dog* "Strider".

Matt, does her profile have her email address?

I haven't checked yet Anne... still pondering. Though if someone else wants to give her a heads-up, don't let my wishy washyness put you off.

More early sightings of the EE in NYC:

Just writing in to let all ringers know about another (and cheaper actually, @ 34.99 rather than the $39.99 mentioned from the video storein the previous post. The place I was lucky enough to come across is called Extraordinary DVD, and its located on W 14th St. between 6th and 5th.

This is also from the TORN website.

Home now -- having watched the clip and now can't wait to see an Orc jug band. (They decided to go with that concept, right?)

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

Orc jug band.

Aw, man! I miss Emmett Otter.

Um, not that there are any otters in the EE.

move out and draw fire

But it is coming up on Chirstmas time....

And I'd possibly be less offended about Emmett Otter being in ROTK than I was about the drinking contest.

I skimmed the Newsweek review of the EE and they said that like the other EE's it makes a better movie than the theatrical release.

Well, we guessed it would, didn't we?

Lucky Norway! I want a threatrical showing of RotKEE HERE!!!!!!!

But I'll settle for buying the DVD less than two weeks from now. Tell Newsweek all is forgiven for running a positive review this week.

I keep seeing that the RotKEE is running in random theatres here and there.

I mean, in order for them to do that -- doesn't it actually have to be a theatrical release?

Today, I'm obsessing over when my RotKEE might arrive. I realize that it won't even be released for over a week. Does that matter?

I see that my TTT was "shipping soon" on November 18th, i.e., the day it was released and that it arrived on Saturday. I only hope that the RotKEE will be as prompt. (To get this information I actually searched the old thread and then looked on lj to see whether I mentioned it's arrival.) I'm afraid that coming out during the Xmas shopping and shipping season may slow things down.

Also, people don't forget that if you bought the theatrical release AND the EE you can get a rebate. The information should be in your theatrical release dvd.
