Frodo: Please, what does it always mean, this... this "Aragorn"?
Elrond: That's his name. Aragorn, son of Arathorn.
Aragorn: I like "Strider."
Elrond: We named the *dog* "Strider".
A discussion of Lord of the Rings - The Return of the King. If you're a pervy hobbit fancier, this is the place for you.
Oh, and I just looked at the Amazon entry for the EE--Lawrence Makaore is listed as being on the cast commentary, along with the usual group!
Hey, cool! And Kathy, your whitefont has me bouncing and squeeing, especially
Sam seeing the star.
How can I wait these last two weeks?!
Emmett LOVED his talking Saruman action figure when he was 5.
Given his ambitions towards world domination, color me not surprised. :)
Lawrence Makaore
That's the person on the RotKEE list that I was excited about!
Kate, that is really one of my favorite moments in the book. It's such a wonderful demonstration of how Sam has evolved throughout the story, but stayed true to his essential self. He recognizes the beauty and takes heart in the smallest of things, and remains, as Gandalf calls him in an early draft of RotK, "Hope Unquenchable."
I like that Legolas appears to have actual lines in the EE. I feel like he's had almost no real dialogue since TTT.
Some of his dialogue, though, is a drinking game with Gimli.
a drinking game with Gimli.
Eep. Having a Shanghai Noon flashback.
::cowers::
I have to wait until Christmas Eve for the EE, although that won't stop me from renting it.
But they didn't show any of that in the trailer -- I was talking about what he is saying in the PotD. That was him, wasn't it?
they didn't show any of that in the trailer
They did show bits of the drinking game, but no lines from it.
