Una, I've actually found several sets, just not at prices I was willing to pay. They also offer, from time to time, complete "unopened" 5-disc Gift Sets of both FotR and TTT. Of course you always run the risk of getting a cheap knockoff, but I'd think the Weta stuff would be hard to clone. I dunno.
It's ridiculously easy--just type "Argonath" into the search box. You don't even have to choose an area to search. I did the same when I was toying with the idea of buying Weta's version of Barahir. Winnowing wheat from chaff is the fun part, I guess.

I hear from other sources (friend of a friend who plays the French horn) that the orchestra involved in this production is essentially a "pick-up orchestra" -- was that the case with performances in other cities? I wonder how good it would have been with a group that performed together regularly?
Not that I didn't enjoy myself -- because I did. We had box seats -- in the second tier of boxes and were on the right hand side. I could see almost the entire stage and the screen. I actually found the visual component kind of distracting.
The hammer dulcimers sounded awful and there was this percussion instrument that they used during (I think) the Khazad-Dum section that was too dissonent.
Also, I didn't like the soloist for the Lament for Mithrandir.
Otherwise -- the Auditoreum is beautiful, there were 5 bass-viols!! (Or whatever you call-em), we got to hear the Hardanger fiddle, the percussion was mostly great (except for whatever that instrument was.)
The Q&A was good -- there were some v. interesting question.
Overall-- lots of fun.

Bret McKenzie and his comedy partner Jemaine Clement have been snapped up by NBC after an executive saw them at the Montreal Comedy Festival in July. Bret was an extra in The Lord of the Rings who ended up with a speaking part in The Return of the King after he garnered a cult following.

Wouldn't be surprised if the bloopers don't show up until the HD version, probably coming out around 2010 (just a guess from me). That one will probably have the audition tapes, and some more of all of the behind-the-scenes video that they have archived somewhere.
