Whoot! That's great.
'Potential'
LotR - The Return of the King: "We named the *dog* 'Strider'".
Frodo: Please, what does it always mean, this... this "Aragorn"? Elrond: That's his name. Aragorn, son of Arathorn. Aragorn: I like "Strider." Elrond: We named the *dog* "Strider".
A discussion of Lord of the Rings - The Return of the King. If you're a pervy hobbit fancier, this is the place for you.
After I watch the EE, that Easter Egg is going to be the first thing I try to find.
I know!!!
I'm so glad that they put that on there -- it sounds like it's comedy gold!
Any word on the blooper reel? </greedy>
Wouldn't be surprised if the bloopers don't show up until the HD version, probably coming out around 2010 (just a guess from me). That one will probably have the audition tapes, and some more of all of the behind-the-scenes video that they have archived somewhere.

Premiere Magazine Offers Special LOTR DVD
10/12/04, 8:04 pm EST - Xoanon
Jonathan There is a 'Rings' DVD Exclusive plus some clips from Viggo Mortensen's photo portfolio in the November 2004 issue of Premiere magazine. I bought the magazine the moment I saw it at Barnes & Noble, and I am pleased to say it is a great piece (it even includes a handwritten note by Viggo, along with some of his great photography) and definitely worth looking at. There are also memorable blurbs from the cast and a preview of the ROTK:EE coming out in December. It was a generous tribute by Premiere.
The official LotR movie site has some video from the RotKEE.
So far my very slow connection has shown me:
1. That scene
you know the one, where Aragorn falls to his knees and Legolas puts his hand on his shoulder.
At least I think that's what it is -- it looks like it's from
when they come through the mountain and out at the Harbor at Harlech.
2. Also, Aragorn
showing himself and his sword to Sauron in the Palantir.
3. Gandalf
and Saruman at Isengard.
4. Faramir
and Eowyn in the Houses of Healing
!!!!
The part I know will gut me is the showing of Frodo's mithril.
I know!
And I can't wait to see it. I mean, just from the clip, Pippin saying "Frodo" -- heartbreaking.
