Frodo: Please, what does it always mean, this... this "Aragorn"?
Elrond: That's his name. Aragorn, son of Arathorn.
Aragorn: I like "Strider."
Elrond: We named the *dog* "Strider".
A discussion of Lord of the Rings - The Return of the King. If you're a pervy hobbit fancier, this is the place for you.
Yes, he did sound a bit off on that, didn't he. But...I was focusing more on the visual than auditory at that point.
Speaking of, was just reading in ET how there are no new really big movie stars. In a sidebar, they mentioned that Matt Damon didn't count because he was too serious and chose his roles carefully, but then in the main article, they mentioned that the problem was that the new "stars" were made too quickly and were not serious and choosing roles carefully. I wonder sometimes if the main article authors and the sidebar authors even bother talking to each other, or if they just say, "This is my theme. Reinforce it."

It'd be a really weird one, too. Thanking the Buffistas for obsessive deconstruction of the LoTR movies. Thanking fandom for helping to improve my writing skills, because you'd never believe how much you can learn by writing media-based gay porn...
They should tape that acceptance speech and show it every Oscars (tm)
