Hey, today was the 50th anniversary of Allen & Unwin publishing the first edition of the Fellowship of the Ring in Great Britain (3500 copies.) (Found on Wizard News.)

Also, the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review talks about how the LotR concerts are selling out and orchestras are being forced to add dates.

Heh. The Bubblegum book's first edition was 4,000. And while we did go to a second edition, I doubt it will be in print 50 years from now.
