I was watching the extended versions over the weekend, and listened to the director/writers commentary, and I must say that I'd love to see them do a chronological cut of the trilogy. I was thinking about it, and they could still do the Galadriel narration, but when she gets to "It snared a new bearer," they could cut to the Smeagol/Deagol prologue from RotK, and then cut back to the narration when Gollum says, "My Precious" at the end.
LotR - The Return of the King: "We named the *dog* 'Strider'".
Frodo: Please, what does it always mean, this... this "Aragorn"? Elrond: That's his name. Aragorn, son of Arathorn. Aragorn: I like "Strider." Elrond: We named the *dog* "Strider".

Oh, where his eyes change? I love that bit. I noticed it first time 'round too. t /proud
edit: referring to the prologue
I noticed it first time 'round too.
Oh yeah! Well, I watched the DVD of RotK AT HOME!
I never notice anything. :)
Any idea on what the easter eggs might be on the DVD?
Heh. Aimee wins. (Two more weeks, right?)
Yeah, his eyes do change. But I meant the change from Andy Serkis with appliances to CGI Gollum. The eye sockets changed, the bone orbits, from what you could apply onto a human skull to what could only have been done digitally. The shift was so subtle I wasn't really aware I'd noticed it the first few viewings.
Oh, I see what you mean, Beverly; it hadn't occurred to me that that was the shift from human actor to CGI. Very nicely done.
(Two more weeks, right?)
Maybe if you are a nice girl, I'll bring it with me. :))
And what Beverly said. It was eerie the change from Andy Serkis to CGI Gollum. Amazing.
Well, I watched the DVD of RotK AT HOME!
Yes, darling, I heard you. I was just being polite and not whiiiiining that I don't get to watch AT HOME yet! Hee.
I really need to add "Must make everyone think I am the best at everything" on my things to work on with therapist. It's just, where should it go? before "Must make everyone think I am pretty/smart/funny." or "Must have all attention, all the time."?
